Important Dates to Remember for Parking

October 13, 2008 Residence Hall Lot Renewal
Students who currently have a residence hall permit (i.e. AV8, RC4, RC15, WG6) and will be returning to the residence hall will be able to submit a parking application for a Winter Semester 2009 permit in the same lot. Applications must be submitted by October 19, 2008.
October 20, 2008 Residence Hall Garage Renewal
Students who currently have a garage permit (i.e. HSGN, MAGN) and will be returning to the residence hall will be able to submit a parking application for a Winter Semester 2009 permit for the same garage. Applications must be submitted by October 26, 2008.
October 27, 2008 Residence Hall Applications
Students who currently have a parking permit (i.e. AV14, CG1N, SG4N, SG7 and WG1) and will be returning to the residence hall will be able to submit a parking application for a Winter Semester 2009 permit. These applications will be considered for a closer assignment. Assignments will be determined by space availability. Applications must be submitted by November 2, 2008.

* Also, students who are returning to the residence hall and will be bringing a vehicle on campus for the second semester will be able to submit a parking application for a Winter Semester 2009 permit. Applications must submitted by November 2, 2008.
November 10, 2008 Off-campus Parking Permit Applications
Students living off-campus and are in need of a parking permit for Winter Semester 2009 will be able to apply at this time. Assignments will be made based on class standing, beginning with the Graduate students. Applications must be submitted by January 9, 2009.
January 12, 2009 Winter Semester 2009 parking permits will be available for pick up. Permits will not be mailed.
January 23, 2009 Last day to pick up your Winter Semester 2009 parking permit. Unclaimed permits will be re-assigned.
March 2-June 3, 2009 Summer Student - Parking Permit Application
Any student who will be attending SUMMER 2009 classes or working on campus for the SUMMER , and will need to park on campus may submit an on-line application for a parking permit.
March 2-8, 2009 Graduate and Undergraduate Student - Permit Renewal
Any returning GRADUATE or UNDERGRADUATE student who:
  1. Not currently living in a Residence Hall or assigned a parking permit that is valid overnight.
  2. had a core campus permit that expires winter semester 2009 AND
  3. will NOT live in a residence hall for fall semester 2009
may submit an on-line parking application to renew his/her parking assignment for fall semester 2009.
*Please note: Assignments are made based upon class standing (beginning with the Graduate students) and according to space availability.
March 9-August 1, 2009 Graduate and Undergraduate Student - Permit Application
Any GRADUATE or UNDERGRADUATE student who:
  1. Did not have a parking permit: or had a commuter permit (valid in lots AV14, RP10 and SG4) for winter semester 2009 AND
  2. will NOT live in a residence hall for winter semester 2009
may submit and on-line parking application to be considered for a core campus parking assignment for fall semester 2009.

March 16-22, 2009 Residence Hall Student/Overnight Parking Assignment Parking Permit RENEWAL Any returning student who
  1. plans to live in a Residence Hall for fall semester 2009 or was assigned a parking permit that is valid overnight due to their housing, AND
  2. was assigned a permit that expired winter semester 2009
may submit an on-line parking application to renew/upgrade his/her overnight parking assignment for fall semester 2009.
*Please note:Assignments are made based upon class standing (beginning with the Graduate students) and according to space availability.
March 30-August 1, 2009 Residence Hall Student
Any returning student who
  1. plans to live in a RESIDENCE HALL for fall semester 2009 AND
  2. did not have a parking permit for winter semester 2009
may submit an on-line parking application to be considered for an overnight parking assignment for fall semester 2009.
*Please note:Assignments are made based upon class standing (beginning with the Graduate students) and according to space availability.
May 1-August 1, 2009 New & Transfer Student - Parking Permit Application
Any incoming new student or transfer student may submit an on-line parking application to be considered for a parking assignment for fall 2009.

CLASS STANDING IS DETERMINED BY THE NUMBER OF COMPLETED CREDIT HOURS AT THE END OF WINTER SEMESTER 2008

FRESHMAN: 1 TO 29 HOURS
SOPHOMORE: 30 TO 59 HOURS
JUNIOR: 60 TO 89 HOURS
SENIOR: 90 OR MORE HOURS
